President elect, Donald Trump, has earlier today refused to his salary for being U.S. President. Being a U.S. President usually rakes in a salary of around $400,000 however Trump has refused all this and will not be drawing any type of salary.
Trump will become the third U.S. president in history to not take a salary, according to Snopes.com. Herbert Hoover and John F. Kennedy both donated their salaries to charity.
“There’s so much work to be done and I want to get it done for the people,” he said. “I want to get it done. We’re lowering taxes, we’re taking care of health care.”
Trump signaled that he wanted to bring the people together, urging both the protesters and his supporters to stop abusing each other.

Trump has appeared at the Miss USA pageants, which he owned from 1996 to 2015, and has made cameo appearances in films and television series.
He sought the Reform Party presidential nomination in 2000, but withdrew before voting began. He hosted and co-produced The Apprentice, a reality television series on NBC, from 2004 to 2015. As of 2016, he was listed by Forbes as the 324th wealthiest person in the world, and 156th in the United States, with a net worth of $3.7 billion in October 2016
